To my friends who may not know this, Jim has been my dad’s “brother” for many years. He sang with power and emotion at both Dad’s burial and memorial service. At Dad’s burial, I was SO broken. I looked at Jim through the pain in my heart and the tears on my face and now that my beloved father was with the Lord, I said: “Will you be my dad?”

Of course, he said “Yes” – although later, he wanted to know what financial obligations might be involved before he made a full commitment….I really needed that laugh!
