There is a quiet place,
Far from the rapid pace where God can soothe my troubled mind.
Sheltered by tree and flow’r,
There in my quiet hour with Him my cares are left behind.

Whether a garden small,
Or on a mountain tall, new strength and courage there I find;
Then from this quiet place I go prepared to face a new day
With love for all mankind.

A new day (a new day), a new day…

…..
There is a place of quiet rest near to the heart of God,
A place where sin cannot molest, near to the heart of God,

O Jesus, blest redeemer, sent from the heart of God,
Hold us who wait before Thee, near to the heart of God.

…..
Whether a garden small,
Or on a mountain tall, new strength and courage there I find;
Then from this quiet place I go prepared to face a new day
With love for all mankind.

A new day (a new day) with love for all mankind.

    We are so loving A Quiet Place. Each number holds a special memory, and your inimitable stylings give us a special blessing. My favorite is Be Still My Soul (Finlandia). Thank you and thank God for sharing you and your gift. Keep on keeping on.
    Much love, Nancy & Roger Loftis, Florida (formerly California)

      Nancy and Roger,
      Thank you! It is really special to have friends who used to be our next door neighbors and who attended our daughter’s wedding to continue that friendship from Florida. So glad the music is adding value to your life.

      With love,

      Rick

    I’m having fun preparing for my upcoming concert on March 11th with the King’s Heralds Quartet. I’m going to open the prelude with “Bless the Lord, O My Soul!” What a great chorus…”and all that is within me bless HIs holy name”!

    I hope to see you there!

    Rick, your mom just gave me a copy of the CD. I am sure she shared with you my comment that many of your chord progressions are similar to the “way I think and process progressions” and it is evident that great minds think alike. All kidding aside, you have a superb talent and I am enjoying hearing your CD. I do like the song “A Quiet Place” very much and have enjoyed it for many years. Ralph Carmichael is a personal friend and your rendition of his song is very fitting of his lyrics and melody. God Bless you, Rick!

    • Rick says:

      Thank you so much Dave. My mom gave me a copy of your CD as well and I really enjoy your sensitive interpretations and innovative chord structures. I particularly like your arrangement of “No One Ever Cared for Me Like Jesus.” Thank you very much for your warm comments, Dave. God bless you! Warmest regards, Rick

      Thank you so much Dave and Linda. I had so much fun singing the “new” version of Happy Birthday to Dave last Sunday! Dave, I hope you had a wonderful birthday!
